We were the lead contractor on this development, directing all contractors on site and planning the overall work programme. The project involved a tight site with four family homes and extensive landscaping, requiring careful coordination to deliver the works efficiently.
Richmond Subdivision
We were contracted to develop a site for a medium-density residential project comprising 10 homes. The installation of services was complex and critical to the success of the development, requiring careful planning and coordination. Our team worked closely with multiple contractors on site to ensure the works were completed efficiently and to specification.
Drainage & Irrigation
Design and creation of drainage structures on any scale, as well as installation of irrigation systems.
Maitai Golf Course Bridge
A series of floods severely damaged two bridges at the Waahi Taakaro Golf Course (Nelson), requiring a durable, future-proofed replacement. As a key link between the Maitai Hub and surrounding trails, the new bridge needed to withstand extreme conditions and support vehicle crossings. We designed and constructed a pre-cast concrete and steel bridge with timber handrails, built to Council specifications. To enhance flood resilience, we replaced the structure’s foundations and increased flow capacity. The bridge was lifted into place using cranes, ensuring a safe and efficient installation.
Topaere Bridge
After severe storm damage in 2022, the popular Copper Mine Trail “Great Ride” was left damaged and impassable. We restored parts of the trail then installed the Topaere Bridge over a major slip zone. As part of our design-build process, the extreme terrain, limited access, and environmental challenges encouraged our use of innovative solutions, including helicopter transport.

Engineered Retaining
A residential client approached us for large-scale slip remediation and retaining protection for their homes. We coordinated geotechnical assessments, engineering reports, and worked to find solutions for future-proofing these steep, complex sites. Using our in-house STMS services, we ensured safe site access and worked on landscaping, including retaining walls, bark, and planting, to complete the project.
Great Taste Trail
We have worked closely with the Tasman Great Taste Trail Trust for several years as a lead contractor, maintaining and increasing their extensive cycle trail network across the Top of the South. Our work with them has included bridges, boardwalks, and retaining features to enhance rider experience as well as over 50km of trail building. These projects require strong communication and coordination with landowners, neighbors, engineers, and contractors.
